My most treasured objects are in my Library.
Can you imagine the smell of paper when you open a book, whether ancient or new? The weight of it in your hands mixed with the anticipation of something new to carry you away or something familiar like an old friend sitting down at the table for a favorite meal together.
My books are some of my most sacred objects. I have lugged around, boxed up, stacked, swapped out, traded, and bagged up my books for years. Some of my oldest books have made it through living in a VW bus, a tent, a travel trailer, and many houses. They have journeyed in backpacks and purses, through hospitals, schools, airplanes, on bikes, walks, in the stress, the peace, the trauma, the good times, and everything in between. Fiction or non-fiction, reference books, history, classics, field guides, textbooks, medical books, I love it all. They have always given me a place to go outside or inside myself.
Here’s a look at some of the books in my library…
What I’m Currently Reading:
“The Fifth Season” by N.K. Jemisin is the first book of the Broken Earth Trilogy.
This is the way the World ends for the Last Time.

My dear friend said I must read this and mailed me the trilogy. What a very clever concept I have never heard before. I’m captivated.

What Else Do I Recommend Right Now?
I love the Outlander Series. I have spent years enjoying Diana’s work. “Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone” is the ninth book in the series. I laughed, cried, and was taken to one of my favorite places with some of the all-time best characters.
